To Create Compatible Unit Rules

on the operational attributes of the feature. A new unit rule must consist of the following information:

  • CU ID—the unique identifier of the compatible unit that you want to associate with the unit rule. By default, the first CU ID on the list of available unit IDs is selected when a new unit is created.
  • Class Code—the class name to which the rule belongs. By default, the first name on the list of available class names is selected when a new unit is created. For more information about class codes, see “Using the Class Code Editor”.
  • CU Name—the name of the associated unit. This field is supplied by the system from the unit’s Description property and cannot be edited. If a different unit is associated with the unit rule, the field is updated accordingly.
  • Rule Attribute Name and Value—the name and value of the attribute(s) for the new rule. Each rule must have at least one rule attribute and attribute value. Attribute values for the rule type should of course reflect the characteristics of the associated compatible unit.
